SEEDLINGS

A safe place for your little ones:

Getting time to focus on your spiritual growth isn’t easy when you have young children. That’s why we do everything we can to create a safe place for your child so you can attend service and grow in God. We have consistent caretakers so we get to know your child’s individual needs. In our Early Childhood ministry, we strive to create the first building blocks of a strong, gospel-centered foundation for our children.

Here’s how it works:

  • Check-in - We’ll give you a ticket with a barcode that matches your child’s name tag so only you can pick them up.

  • Enjoy - While you’re enjoying service, your little ones are going to love our safe and warm early childhood experience

  • Pickup - After service, bring the ticket that matches your child’s name tag - we won’t give your child to anyone who doesn’t have it.

Things you might want to know:

  • Who is taking care of my child? All of our rooms are staffed by volunteers who have been approved by background screenings and our stringent security policies. We make every effort to meet your expectations with our very best care, and we maintain strict teacher to child ratios to ensure safe care.

  • Do you change diapers? Yes we do, unless you say not to. Totally up to you. Adult, female volunteers, are the only ones allowed to change diapers. If you don’t want us to change your child’s diaper then please let the volunteers know when you drop off your child.

  • Do you help my Two year old or Three year old with the potty? Yes we do, unless you say not to. Female, adult and youth volunteers, are the only ones allowed to take children to the restroom. Please let the volunteers know of any special instructions for potty training.

  • Can I stay in class to help my child transition? We want you to feel at ease and know your child is being taken care of. However, we are not allowed to have any person who has not been properly background checked or screened in any of the rooms. Always say a loving goodbye to your child, but once you do, leave promptly. Don’t sneak out. As tempting as it may be, leaving without saying goodbye can make children feel abandoned. A long farewell, on the other hand, might only reinforce a child’s sense that preschool is a bad place.

  • What if my child cries and needs me? If your child is crying for an extended time and is inconsolable, we will text you with the number you provided at check-in.

  • Have more questions? Call the church office at 909-606-4848 ext. 115, or click here to send an email.

Nursery (ages Birth-1):

We welcome your infant whenever you are ready to allow us to care for him or her. Our volunteers are consistent monthly, and we find that your child benefits from depending on faithful regular caregivers. Parents and children will feel God’s love for them through the arms and hearts of the volunteers.

Here are a few things to consider when starting your little ones in the Nursery:

  • Stay consistent to the same morning service so your infant becomes secure with the same caregivers.

  • Let the adult volunteers know any directions you may have about feedings or naps and they will note them in the nursery room notebook.

  • Our volunteers are great at taking care of all your infant’s needs, but in case a question or concern arises, keep your phone near you in service.

TODDLERS (AGES 1-2):

While at church your toddlers will hear Bible stories about God. Throughout the morning your child will hear that Jesus loves them, using teachable moments to highlight spiritual truths. As your toddler learns to talk we will instill words of faith in their vocabulary. Children are ready to move from the Nursery to the Toddler Room when they can walk strong and steadily on their own.

In the Toddler Room, your child can expect to:

  • Play

  • Hear stories & songs of God’s love for them

  • Receive a snack of goldfish crackers / cheerios mix

Twos (ages 2-3):

Parents and children will feel God’s love for them through the arms and hearts of the volunteers. Children will be hearing the stories and songs of God’s love for them. Your child is ready to move from the Toddlers to the Twos Room when they are at least 27 months, can communicate basic needs, and are ready for classroom structure.

In the Twos Room, your child can expect to:

  • Play

  • Learn a short lesson from the Bible

  • Do activities to reinforce the lesson

  • Sing songs

  • Receive a snack of goldfish crackers / cheerios mix

  • Have the opportunity to use the restroom when they are ready.

Threes (age 3 & potty trained):

Your child will experience the joy of learning who God is and that the Bible is God’s true word. Children will learn to express their joy in God through worship & prayer. You and your child will get to experience the joy of a growing faith with engaging family take home sheets and resources. Your child is ready to move from the Twos Room to the Threes Room when they:
